Prayagraj: Allahabad Degree College today held its annual awards ceremony in the Lower Hall of the Kydganj campus to recognize the outstanding academic achievements of its meritorious students. Over 320 undergraduate and postgraduate students from the 2022–2025 and 2023–2025 academic sessions were honored for their outstanding performance and dedication. The ceremony was graced by the Principal of the college, Professor Atul Kumar Singh, and members of various college committees. Professors and assistant professors from various departments were also present.
Highlights of the ceremony: The program began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address by the Principal. In his address, Prof. Atul Kumar Singh stated that the college is committed to fostering an environment that blends curiosity and discipline. He congratulated the students for carrying forward the institution’s legacy of excellence. The felicitation ceremony was held in two shifts. In the first shift, 172 undergraduate and postgraduate students who achieved first division in arts, science, and commerce subjects were honored. In the second shift, 150 law students were honored.
The first session was conducted and coordinated by Prof. Neena Shukla. The second session was moderated by Prof. Jaya Mukherjee. Closing: The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Dinesh Kumar and the national anthem. A banquet was hosted for the award winners and faculty, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas for the upcoming academic year. Organizing committee members Dr. Ashish Kumar Gupta, Dr. Yogesh Yadav, Dr. Harendra Narayan Singh, Dr. Neelam Singh, Dr. Ashutosh Singh and Dr. Manish Khare worked tirelessly to make the function a success.
