Prayagraj: A meeting of the United Forum of Pensioner Welfare Associations was held today at the residence of Yogendra Kumar Pandey, 201, Bhusauli Tola, under the chairmanship of Sushil Kumar Srivastava and conducted by Yogendra Kumar Pandey. Satyendra Bahadur Singh stated that pensioners of departments that have not yet received the benefits of the Seventh Pay Commission should be provided with these benefits before the Eighth Pay Commission report is released. Rajesh Srivastava stated that we must strengthen our unity, immediately end outsourcing, and withdraw the Validation Act. Ram Kishore appealed for the immediate withdrawal of the Validation Act in the interest of pensioners, provide the benefits of the Seventh Pay Commission to those deprived of these benefits, and to effectively contribute to the proposed protest on September 29th. Rajesh Yadav congratulated the government for its “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” (development for all), saying that in Prayagraj, where there used to be no waterlogging, small swimming pools have been built in front of every house. Many thanks to the current government and administration for this. Yogendra Pandey stated that arrangements should be made to provide permanent jobs and employment to the youth of our country, so that their potential can be utilized effectively and their futures secured. Their working hours should be reduced, and the privatization of various public assets and branches should be stopped. New welfare schemes should be created for pensioners and employees. Only then can our nation become prosperous and a world leader. He appealed for the success of the proposed 24-hour strike on September 29th. In his presidential address, Sushil Kumar Srivastava emphasized the inclusion of the word “pensioner” in the TOR of the Eighth Pay Commission, the upholding of D.S. Nakra’s historic decision, and the opposition to the current government if demands are not met. He thanked all the distinguished pensioners who attended the meeting. Prakash Kumar Uday Chand Sonkar and Ramlal Chacha presented their views with great conviction and pledged full support to every call of the organization. Ramkishore and Virendra Pandey sang beautiful songs, receiving applause from the organization.
