Prayagraj: On the auspicious occasion of Mother’s Day, the Poonam Sant Women and Development Committee organized a grand and inspiring event at Hotel Landmark, Civil Lines, Prayagraj. The event focused on social service, culture, women’s empowerment, and respect for motherhood, featuring various cultural presentations, felicitation ceremonies, and special events related to women’s self-reliance.
The program began with a soulful Ganesh Vandana by Shriya Guha. This was followed by a welcome address and introduction of the guests by Mrs. Isabel Brandish, the organization’s national coordinator. The program officially opened with a lamp lighting ceremony.
On this occasion, the organization’s National President, respected Poonam Sant Ji, attended as the chief guest. Expressing her inspiring thoughts on the importance of Mother’s Day, she said, “A mother is not only the one who gives birth, but also the primary force that imparts values, love, and direction to life. A society that respects the mother power becomes strong and prosperous.”
She further stated, “The form of Durga exists within every woman. The only need is to recognize and honor it. Only when women become self-reliant and aware will the nation truly progress.” Poonam Sant Ji, referring to the organization’s “Mission Durga” and “Sakhi Jodo Abhiyan,” inspired women to become self-reliant. During the program, the organization also distributed sewing machines to several Sakhis to promote self-reliance and employment. This effort of the organization was appreciated by all the guests and citizens present.
Spiritual guru Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kaushalya Nand Giri Ji Maharaj and Honorable Justice Vijayalakshmi Ji were also present as special guests in the program. Both the special guests expressed their inspiring thoughts on motherhood, women power and social awareness. In the program, a beautiful presentation of “Jai Jai Kara” prayer dance was given by Saanvi Gupta, Shreya Singh, Riddhi Singh, Navya Tiwari, Aarna Pandey, Aarohi, Ayushi Singh and Abhani Tiwari. After this, National General Secretary Mrs. Kamini Jain highlighted the various projects run by the organization and the importance of Mother’s Day.
A powerful dance performance based on Mahishasuramardini was presented by Harshita Rajput, Anandita Pratap Singh, Gauri Pandey, Navatmana, Himatanya Singh, Shauravi Singh, and Christina Singh, captivating the audience. A melodious Mother’s Day song presented by Mohini Srivastava filled the atmosphere with emotion. A catwalk performance full of fashion and confidence was presented by Gauri Srivastava and her team. Additionally, the organization’s state president, Mrs. Hema Sharma, shared information about the organization’s Uttar Pradesh unit’s work and achievements. A dance drama based on Mahishasuramardini was presented by Rishita Dixit, Mayuri Srivastava, Anshika Mishra, Hriday Pandey, Kanak, Satvik Pateriya, Pragyan Meena, Aditi, Aanvi Pandey, Srishti, and Vaishnavi Yadav, which was highly appreciated by all.
On the special occasion of Mother’s Day, women who have achieved outstanding work in various fields of society were honored with the “Inspiring Women Awards.” Among the honored women were Rachna Srivastava, Dr. Neeta Sahu, Meenakshi Sharma, Khushboo Pandey, Supriya Chaudhary, Neelima Upadhyay, Juhi Saxena, Neera Tripathi, Geeta Arya, Kanchan Srivastava, Anuradha Saxena, Renu Srivastava, Bina Gautam, Madhu Srivastava, Uma Dixit, Archana Nigam, and Saloni Gupta. A fashion show presented by the organization’s young friends was also a special attraction. Gauri Geeta Ojha, Shubhra Chaturvedi, and Samridhi Singh were present as jury members. Mohini Srivastava, Sangeeta Vishwakarma, and Anand Tripathi captivated everyone with their musical performances.
The program was successfully conducted and coordinated by the organization’s coordinator, Mr. Anurag Sant. At the end, the organization’s National Secretary, Mr. Abhishek Sant, expressed his gratitude to all the guests, participants, and attendees.
