Prayagraj: In a significant initiative in the field of social service and public welfare, Rotary Allahabad Midtown is dedicating a state-of-the-art mobile blood donation van worth Rs. 37.21 lakh to the Allahabad Medical Association (AMA). The inauguration and handover ceremony of the van will be held on June 4, 2026, at 7:00 pm at the AMA Auditorium, Prayagraj. The Honorable Justice Mr. Piyush Agarwal will be the chief guest, and Rotarian Dr. Ashutosh Agarwal, District Governor of Rotary District 3120, will be the special guest.

On this occasion, doctors from the Allahabad Medical Association, presidents and secretaries of all Rotary clubs in the Prayagraj region, Rotarians, and members of Rotary Allahabad Midtown will be present. This mobile blood donation van is equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, including: Motorized Blood Donation Couch, High quality refrigerator with capacity to store 40 to 50 units of blood, Air conditioner, Generator backup, Television, Refrigerators and other necessary storage facilities, Oxygen cylinder, Emergency medical equipment and All other modern facilities for blood donation are included.

This van will be operated by the Allahabad Medical Association, under the supervision of its trained technical staff and doctors, enabling the smooth and safe conduct of blood donation camps at various locations. The convenience, safety, and comfort of blood donors will be given top priority. The mobile blood donation van will enable blood donation camps to be organized in schools, colleges, corporate institutions, residential areas, and even remote locations. This will promote voluntary blood donation and make it easier to ensure timely availability of blood to patients in need.

This state-of-the-art mobile blood donation van is the first of its kind in Prayagraj and surrounding districts. It is expected to benefit thousands of people annually and play a vital role in ensuring the availability of safe blood.

On this occasion, Rotary Allahabad Midtown President Rotarian CA Vinay Goyal said, “This mobile blood donation van will make the blood donation process more convenient, safe, and accessible. We are confident that this will give a new impetus to voluntary blood donation and help save thousands of lives.
