Prayagraj: Under the inspiring leadership of Divisional Railway Manager/Prayagraj, Mr. Rajneesh Agrawal, and the able guidance of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Freight), Mr. Atul Yadav, Prayagraj Division has achieved another significant freight transportation milestone. A new commercial chapter has been inaugurated by successfully loading maize by rail for the first time from Harduaganj Goods Yard.
Maize was successfully loaded in a mini rake of 21 BCN wagons from Harduaganj Goods Yard to Muzaffarnagar on 06 June 2026. The loading was done by M/s Sanjeev Kumar Sunil Kumar, who opted for rail transportation of his goods through Harduaganj Goods Yard for the first time.
This achievement holds special significance for the Harduaganj Goods Yard, as it will open up new rail transportation opportunities for the region’s traders and agricultural producers. Furthermore, this initiative demonstrates the growing confidence of the Railways in the improved freight transportation facilities, timely service, and competitive transportation system provided to customers. The loading of this first rake of maize at the Harduaganj Goods Yard is expected to further boost the rail transportation of agricultural products and other commodities in the future. This will not only increase freight traffic but also provide a new impetus to regional trade and economic activities. Prayagraj Division, adopting a customer-centric approach, is committed to creating new business opportunities, increasing freight traffic, and making rail transport the preferred choice for industry and business.
