Prayagraj: The All India Malaviya Sabha organized a floral tribute and felicitation ceremony at the Bharti Bhawan Library in Prayagraj on the birth anniversary of the late Satya Prakash Malaviya, former Union Minister of the Government of India. The chief guests for the event were former MLA Shri Anugrah Narayan Singh and special guest Smt. Sangeeta Sharma. In his address, Chief Guest Anugrah Narayan Singh said that although Malaviya was born in Allahabad, throughout his life he was dedicated to the welfare of the poor and laborers of India. He never created anything for himself but instead donated everything for these vulnerable sections of society. Beginning his political career as the Mayor of Allahabad in 1972, he successfully served as the Minister of Petroleum and Chemicals in the cabinet of the late Chandrashekhar. His life was filled with simplicity and brotherhood, which is why he remains in the hearts of the people even today. Former Metropolitan President of the Prayagraj Congress, Pradeep Mishra Anshuman, said that influenced by the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi and Ram Manohar Lohia, Malaviya worked throughout his life to raise the standard of living of the poor and oppressed. He dedicated his life to society. During the Emergency, he was a great supporter of the Congress party. His social service work cannot be forgotten as he was imprisoned with Rajnarayan during this period. Today, on the occasion of his birth anniversary, I offer my heartfelt floral tribute to him. Former MLA Anurag Narayan Singh, former Metropolitan President of Congress Pradeep Kumar Mishra Anshuman, Vinay Pandey, Diwakar Bhartiya, Sushil Dwivedi, Abhishek Shukla, Vinod Dixit were prominently present in the program.
