Prayagraj: A meeting of the United Forum of Pensioner Welfare Associations, Prayagraj, was held today at the residence of Yogendra Pandey in Bhusauli Tola, 201, under the chairmanship of Rajesh Yadav. Yogendra Kumar Pandey stated that the word “pensioner” should be immediately added to the Terms of Reference (TOR), that outsourcing should be abolished, and that our youth should be provided with permanent jobs/employment so that their future is secure. By working with their positive energy, they can lead the nation on the path of progress, and our country can prosper and become a world leader. Prakash Kumar demanded the immediate release of the DR withheld for 18 months. Preeta Bajpai reiterated her demand for immediate release of the benefits of the Seventh Pay Commission to pensioners and employees of departments that have not received them before the recommendations of the Eighth Pay Commission are released.
Ramkishore urged the government to consider the demands sympathetically and immediately in the interest of pensioners. Abrar Ahmed emphasized the need for solidarity among pensioners. In his address, Rajesh Yadav stressed on the need to give manual passes in place of e-passes and to immediately restore the concessions given earlier to senior citizens and pensioners. He further said that the government’s slogan is Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, according to which handing over the parcel department of the Railways to private hands is not in the interest of the employees, nor in the national interest, this decision should be withdrawn immediately. He specially congratulated all the distinguished pensioners present and expressed his gratitude for coming in the pouring rain. In the meeting, mainly Mr. Dwarka Prasad, Ramlal Patel, Raju, Virendra Kumar Pandey, Javed Akhtar, etc. also expressed their views and promised their support.
