Prayagraj/Gorakhpur: On the occasion of the 78th foundation day of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and ‘National Students Day’, the student power celebrated the foundation day with enthusiasm in various educational institutions of Gorakhpur Metropolitan. In the same sequence, a seminar ‘Dhyeyam’ was organized on the topic ‘From Resolution to Achievement’ in the auditorium of Baba Raghav Das Medical College, Gorakhpur. ABVP National Minister Abhay Pratap Singh was the keynote speaker in the program, Legislative Council member Dr. Dharmendra Singh was the chief guest. Dr. Vijay Ranjan, Vishnu Upadhyay, Dr. Dharmendra Gupta, ABVP Gorakh Pradesh’s State Organization Minister Puneet Agarwal, ABVP Gorakhpur Metropolitan President Dr. Vivek Shahi and Gorakhpur Metropolitan Department Coordinator Prashant Tripathi were present as special guests.
Through the seminar “Dhyeyam,” organized to commemorate ABVP’s 78th foundation day, students were introduced to the Council’s 78-year journey, its vision, and its commitment to nation-building. The Council’s movements, creative programs, and various initiatives undertaken from time to time for the benefit of students and society were highlighted in detail. Students were also encouraged to actively participate in the fields of national, social, and education. Through cultural programs presented during the program, the Council’s workers vividly and effectively expressed the organization’s motto, “Student Power is National Power.” Through songs, dances, and dramatic performances, patriotism, social responsibility, and the Student Council’s ideas and vision were effectively presented.
Present as the keynote speaker, ABVP National Minister Abhay Pratap Singh said that since its inception, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has been instilling the values ​​of patriotism, social responsibility, and character building in students. He stated that the Parishad is not merely an organization fighting for student interests, but a student organization dedicated to nation-building. The Vidyarthi Parishad’s methodology teaches us that “education should not be merely for livelihood, but for building life; and life should not be dedicated solely to self-interest, but to serving the nation and society.” With this spirit, the Parishad instills in every student a sense of their responsibilities to society and the nation. He stated that the Vidyarthi Parishad is not merely an organization that highlights problems, but an organization of active, sensitive, and dedicated workers committed to solving those problems.
Chief Guest Dr. Dharmendra Singh shared his experiences of underprivileged student life, stating that the Council had given a new direction to his personality and outlook on life. He added that it is the contribution of the Vidyarthi Parishad that hundreds of students like him, with a spirit of “nation first,” are dedicated to serving society and the nation in various fields. The many positive changes visible in society and the education world today are the result of the Vidyarthi Parishad’s continuous struggle, creative work, and unwavering commitment to national interest.
He said that the 78-year history of the Vidyarthi Parishad is not just a history of movements, but also of constructive change. The Parishad has consistently accomplished remarkable work in the areas of education reform, student welfare, service work, and national integration. Through the Students Experience in Interstate Living (SEIL), the Parishad has strengthened cultural exchange and national integration between students from Northeast India and other states, reinforcing the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” At the end of the program, ABVP Gorakhpur Metropolitan President Dr. Vivek Shahi expressed his gratitude to all the guests, professors, students, and attendees, and said that the Vidyarthi Parishad, with its goal of nation-building, will continue to work for the welfare of students and society. The program concluded with the national anthem.
