Prayagraj: A Chaupal was organized by the Congress Party in Sarai Madan village of Bahria block. A large number of local villagers participated enthusiastically in this Chaupal and expressed their anger against the policies of the government. In the programme, serious issues like rising inflation, unemployment, corruption, theft of donations and offerings and atrocities on Dalits were discussed in depth.
Addressing the Chaupal, chief guest District Congress Committee (Gangapar) President Ashfaq Ahmed expressed deep concern over the case of theft of offerings in Ayodhya Ram temple. Making a direct attack on the government, he said, the government is trying to divert the attention of the general public from the real issues. To save the influential and important persons of the temple, small employees are being made scapegoats, which is highly condemnable. Raising questions on the law and order situation of the state, the District President said that today the incidents of atrocities against Dalits have increased rapidly in the entire state. Under the rule of the government which gives the slogan of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, there are reports of rape and harassment of women all around. Our daughters are feeling completely unsafe today, which is a matter of serious concern for the society. Discussing the situation of youth in Chaupal, Congress leaders said that unemployment in the country and the state has reached its peak. The future of the youth is being played with, papers are leaked even before the exams take place, due to which the youth have become completely dejected and frustrated. The leaders stressed that today Jannayak Rahul Gandhi is the only leader in the country who is fighting from the streets to the Parliament to provide justice to the unemployed, students, farmers, labourers, Dalits, tribals, backward classes and the poor belonging to the general category.
Although the government is continuously trying to create various obstacles in their fight for justice, the Congress’s struggle will continue. A large number of villagers and workers including local Congress officials were present on this occasion.
