Absconding accused applied for anticipatory bail

Prayagraj: Abu Talha, the absconding named accused in the famous case of bombing and firing in Bamrauli village of Puramufti police station area, has filed an application in the court for anticipatory bail. His petition will be heard on July 17. This application was filed on July 13. Even after 10 days of the incident, the police has not been able to arrest the four named accused. The absconding accused include Abu Talha, his brother Danish, Shamshulain and Shoaib. Abu Talha is a resident of Mandir Mod of Puramufti. His two brothers Danish and Abu Uzaifa are also named in this case. Danish is said to be the son-in-law of Abid Pradhan, who was a shooter of mafia Atiq Ahmed.

Police say they are continuously conducting raids to search for the absconding accused. So far, three accused have been jailed in this case. Salim was arrested on July 7th, and Ehtesham and Abu Uzaifa were arrested on July 8th. All three have prior criminal cases filed against them.

According to sources, most of the accused are from the same family and are relatives of Abid Pradhan, a former shooter of accused Atiq Ahmed. A few days ago, a case was filed against these same individuals for obstructing a road, assaulting, and vandalizing a vehicle. On July 5th, around 6:30 pm, bombing and firing at Thar riders in Bamrauli village spread terror in the area. It is alleged that Salim first threw two bombs at the Thar vehicle and then fired with a pistol. The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, a video of which also went viral. After his arrest, Salim admitted to firing with a pistol during interrogation. Meanwhile, the plaintiff, Masroor, alleged in his complaint that the attackers fired with a pistol, rifles, and bombs. An FIR has been registered against nine accused, including seven named ones, in this case.
