Prayagraj: The hospital administration is continuously working towards expanding patient facilities at Swarup Rani Nehru Chikitsalaya (SRN). After developing new facilities in various departments, expanding diagnostic and treatment services, and increasing patient convenience over the past few months, the government’s free medicine distribution center has now been shifted to a more spacious and convenient location. On Thursday, the first day of the month of Shravan, Medical College Principal Dr. A.K. Verma, Vice Principal Dr. Mohit Jain, and Chief Superintendent Prof. Dr. Neelam Singh formally inaugurated the new medicine distribution center. On this occasion, Additional Chief Superintendent Dr. Jitendra Shukla, Dr. Rajiv Gautam, Dr. Mansingh, Dr. Anil Maurya, Dr. Anil Singh, Dr. Badri Vishal Singh, Dr. Suryakant Ojha, Dr. Abhishek Pratap Singh, Dr. Rajneesh Tiwari along with senior doctors, officers and staff of the hospital were present.
Chief Superintendent, Professor Dr. Neelam Singh, stated that due to limited space at the previously operated drug distribution center, patients and their attendants faced inconveniences standing in long queues, reaching the counter, and waiting. In response to the increasing patient numbers, the drug distribution center has been relocated to a larger, more open, and well-organized facility. He stated that the new center has adequate waiting space for patients, improved queuing, and more convenient medication distribution. The elderly, disabled, and seriously ill patients will also be able to access it without difficulty.
Dr. Neelam Singh stated that the hospital administration’s goal is not only to provide quality treatment, but also to provide patients and their families with improved and respectful facilities at every level. In keeping with this vision, the hospital has been working tirelessly for some time to gradually expand facilities in various departments, install new machines, modernize diagnostic services, facilitate patient movement, and streamline the treatment system. The new drug distribution center is also an important link in this chain, directly benefiting thousands of patients and their attendants daily.
