Prayagraj: The situation became tense at the historic Anand Bhawan Gate when BJP workers attempted to hoist a black flag in protest against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Congress leader Irshad Ullah and his companions, Mohammad Haseen and Altamas, who were present at the scene, got into a heated argument with BJP workers, leading to a scuffle. Following the incident, Congress leader Irshad Ullah raised serious questions about the local administration and the intelligence agency, the LIU. Speaking to the media, he said, “We had already informed the LIU about this protest and the possibility of black flags. Despite this, the administration took no action. This is a complete failure of the police and administration.” Irshad Ullah strongly condemned the incident, saying that such an act in front of our leader Rahul Gandhi’s ancestral home is extremely unfortunate. Congress workers have warned that they will not tolerate such petty politics and administrative negligence.
