Prayagraj: The installation ceremony of Lions Club Allahabad City was held at Rama Continental Hotel under the leadership of newly elected President Kalpana Agarwal. Mandal President Uday Chandani was present as the chief guest in the program. The service work of those who did excellent work was appreciated by presenting them the internationally highly respected and prestigious “Governor Medal”. The Governor Medal was worn by Sub-Divisional President II Umesh Kakkar to Media Chairperson Lalu Mittal, Region Chairperson Anoop Singh, Mayor Ajay Awasthi, Rita Bir, Inder Madhyan and the certificate was given by Cabinet Secretary RM Balaji, Cabinet Treasurer Satish Tandon Cabinet, PRO Brijendra Vajpayee in the auditorium amidst thunderous applause. Senior member Dr Anand Srivastava was honored with the International President Pin.

In the program, the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected President, Secretary, Treasurer and Board of Directors was conducted by Mandal President First Umesh Kakkar. Lions Club Allahabad City, keeping in mind its international standards, will continue to work in the fields like education, health, eye donation, cancer, blood donation and disabled service with the basic mantra of “We Serve”. As part of the club’s extensive service work, three seesaws (see-saws) were presented to the young children of SSS Girls Inter College, Prayagraj, at its inauguration ceremony today, by the dynamic District Governor. The ceremony was graced by the presence of prominent citizens, social workers, and media personalities.
