Prayagraj: The prominent Congress men of the District and City held an emergent meeting with former Spokesman, UPCC Kishore Varshney, they condemned the Yogi Government to stop and house arrest UPCC President Ajay Rai and other congressmen from state party headquarter after their announcement to visiting violence hit Sambhal. The speakers said imposing ban is the failure of BJP Government’s governance, administration and management. They asked had the government imposed such a ban earlier on those who dreamed of triggering riots and made people raise frenzied slogans. Varshney sent a letter to the State Governor urging to take stern action against all those responsible persons and sacked guilty, constitute CBI Inquiry into violence. The atmosphere of harmony and peace in Sambhal would not have been spoiled they added. Congress men demanded compensation Rs.1 crore each to all those who killed. They held Yogi Government responsible for the incident and described it a murder of democracy.
