Prayagraj: Ashfaq Ahmed, the Congress Party’s District President (Gangapar), along with party members, conducted an extensive tour of flood-affected and waterlogged areas in Mauaima, including villages such as Sultanpur Khas, Bataha, and Chhapahi Bagh. He visited the affected villages and settlements to gain a firsthand understanding of the residents’ problems and spoke with relevant officials to demand a swift resolution. During the tour, he noted that people visiting the Punjab National Bank in Mauaima were facing significant difficulties due to waterlogging both inside and outside the premises.

When District President Ashfaq Ahmed raised the issue with Bank Manager Ravindra Kumar Mishra, the manager assured him that the problem would be resolved immediately by laying bricks. Subsequently, the District President met with families affected by the waterlogging. Residents reported that the accumulated water had impacted their homes, fields, and roads.

The District President urged the Block Development Officer and Tehsil officials to resolve these issues promptly. He demanded that the administration ensure the repair of damaged houses, the assessment of crop losses, and the distribution of compensation as soon as possible. District Vice President Kaleem Altaf stated that the party stands with the victims and will ensure they receive assistance by conveying their concerns to the administration.
