Prayagraj: The opening ceremony of the District Level Boxing Championship-2026, held at Cantt High School, New Cantt, Prayagraj, was held with enthusiasm and sportsmanship today, September 7, 2026 (Monday). Mr. Nagesh Kumar Pandey, Chief Executive Officer, Cantonment Board, Prayagraj, was present as the chief guest. Inaugurating the competition, he encouraged the participating players and inspired them to participate in the competition with discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship.
The chief guest stated that sports play a vital role in the overall development of students and youth. Sports like boxing develop self-confidence, discipline, courage, and decision-making skills in athletes. He wished all participating athletes excellent performance.
Athletes from various schools and institutions across the district enthusiastically participated in the championship. During the competition, the athletes displayed their talent, technique, and athletic skills. Present on the occasion were Mr. Mo. Ansar (Principal, Cantt High School), Mr. V.D. Shukla (Principal, Weaker Public School), Mrs. Narwada Chauhan, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Mr. Ankit Gupta (Boxing Referee), along with other teachers and dignitaries.
At the end of the programme, Mr. Mohd. Ansar (Principal, Cantt High School) expressed his gratitude to the chief guest and all the guests and wished all the players participating in the competition a bright future and excellent performance.
