Prayagraj: The ancient Shri Dadhikando Mela Committee, Krishna Nagar Triveni Marg, Kidganj inaugurated the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha with the worship of the altar and urn by Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani in the premises of Gyan Pustakalaya, Kidganj. On this occasion, on the first day of the Katha, Pujya Batuk Ji Maharaj, while making the devotees listen to the Katha, said that the Bhagwat Katha is the story of destroying the sorrows of human life and by taking a vow to serve one’s parents in the Pitru Paksha and listening to it with a resolution to save the deceased parents, a person gets freedom from Pitra Dosh.

Media in-charge Rajesh Kesarwani said that in today’s episode, the greatness of Bhagwat Katha, Mangalacharan, Bhishma’s death, Parikshit’s birth and Hiranyaksha’s rescue were described.
