Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh remembered on Veer Bal Diwas
Prayagraj: On Friday, on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, Guru Gobind Singh’s younger sons—Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh—were remembered. Kirtan, Ardaas, Kavi Darbar, and an exhibition were organized at Gurdwara Sikh Sangat Alopi Bagh. BJP Prayagraj Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta, who was present at the event, said that Veer Bal Diwas reminds us that courage is not limited by age. On December 26, 1705, Guru Gobind Singh’s younger sons—Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh—sacrificed their lives for religion, faith, and truth. Even at the age of six and nine, they refused to bow to oppression. The brave Sahibzadas are the pride of India, standing like a rock against the cruel Mughal Empire. Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the celebration of Veer Bal Diwas, inspired by the bravery of the Sahibzadas. Today, this day is celebrated with pride across the country on the 26th. BJP State Minister Anamika Chaudhary said that the sacrifice of the Sahibzadas is a unique example of religious freedom, courage, and unwavering devotion to truth not only in Sikh history but throughout Indian history. Their lives teach us that protecting truth and religion requires courage and determination, not age. An exhibition highlighting the valor of the brave Sahibzadas was also organized on this occasion, showcasing their valor. A morning procession was taken out.
