Prayagraj: In light of the rising heat and recent fire incidents, Motilal Nehru Medical College Principal Prof. Dr. V.K. Pandey conducted a detailed inspection of various facilities on the hospital campus on Tuesday. During the inspection, he interacted with patients, attendants, and staff to inquire about their problems and facilities.

During the inspection, the trauma center, emergency ward, new building, and the Jan Aushadhi Center were reviewed. Seating arrangements for patients and their relatives in the OPD block, the availability of drinking water, and other facilities were also specifically inspected to ensure no inconvenience in the scorching heat.

In light of recent fire incidents, the hospital’s fire extinguishers and fire hydrant systems were thoroughly inspected. The water pressure and water supply conditions were assessed, and necessary guidelines were issued to the concerned officials to ensure prompt action in case of any emergency.

Principal Prof. Dr. V.K. Pandey said, “Given the intense heat, the comfort of patients and their families is our top priority. We will ensure drinking water, adequate seating, and other essential amenities in the hospital. It is also essential to keep the fire safety system fully functional so that any emergency can be effectively handled.”

On this occasion, Vice Principal Dr. Mohit Jain, Chief Superintendent Dr. Neelam Singh, Building Incharge Dr. Mansingh, Medical Officer Dr. Amit Singh, Medical College Engineer Mr. Brijesh Singh along with other officers and employees were present. In view of the intense heat, the Medical College administration is on alert and arrangements have been inspected.
