Prayagraj: As part of the Nutrition Fortnight, a special nutrition awareness program was organized today at Cantt High School, New Cantt, Prayagraj, aimed at raising awareness among students and their parents about a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Ankit Rana, a physician with the Cantonment Board, Prayagraj, was the chief guest.
Addressing the students, Dr. Ankit Rana stated that proper nutrition is essential not only for physical development but also plays a vital role in mental health and academic performance. He advised children to include green vegetables, fruits, milk, and protein-rich foods in their daily diet. During the program, students were given detailed information about the ill effects of malnutrition and preventive measures. The importance of hygiene and regular exercise was also highlighted. School Principal Mr. Mohammad Ansar stated that the foundation of a healthy body and a strong nation rests on balanced nutrition. A nutritious diet is essential for children and youth to ensure their physical, mental, and intellectual development. We should include green vegetables, fruits, pulses, milk, and protein-rich foods in our daily lives and avoid junk food. Hygiene and regular exercise are also essential for good health.
