Prayagraj: The 323rd annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Sheikh Afzal Abbasi, the founder of the community, was celebrated at Khanqah-e-Ajmali Dayara Shah Ajmal. Under the patronage of Syed Arshad Zaki Fakhri, the twelfth Sajjada Nashin of the Khanqah, a Naat Mushaira program was held, in which famous poets of the city recited their poetry. On the second day, from 8:30 pm onwards, Mehfil Sama (Qawwali), Gul Pashi Chadar Poshi, Kul ritual and Fatiha were recited. After that, the traditional langar of gram dal and roti was distributed.

Under the supervision of Syed Faraz Fakhri – Naib Sajjadah Nashin, the ceremony of the Sheikh’s Urs was performed with utmost respect and sincerity.

Special guests of the Urs included Syed Arman Miyan, Naib Sajjada of Khanqah Abul Olaiya, Fasihuddin Nizami of Khanqah Nizamia, Syed Mujeeb, Jameel Fakhri, Jazbi Fakhri, Mohsin Zia, Akhtar Aziz Allahabadi, Anas Nizami, Guddu Nizami, Matloob, former councilor Anees Ahmed, Wazir Khan, Shahid Khan, Safi Fakhri, Maulana Naushad Alam, Advocate Noorul Ain and Imam of Dayara Shah Ajmal Mosque Maulana Shamsher Azam along with hundreds of devotees.
