Grand celebration held o re-birth anniv of Minister Nandi

This year, on the occasion of the re-birth anniversary of Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, the Industrial Development Minister of the Uttar Pradesh government, which has been celebrated for the past 16 years, 435,000 people shared a single meal, setting a record. Thousands of people from across the country, abroad, and nearly every district in the state attended.

In the Bhandara program dedicated to Lord Bholenath, huge arrangements were made by Minister Nandi to enable people to take prasad.

A total of six kitchens and storage rooms were set up, staffed by dozens of confectioners. Catering was arranged like a wedding. Gyan Dairy provided mineral water for the people who came to partake of the Bhandara Prasad.

Four food stalls were set up from Ram Bhavan to Chandralok, where 25,000 plates were kept. 12 food counters were set up from Chandralok to Mansarovar, where 15,000 plates were kept. Four stalls were set up from Mansarovar to Sulaki Square, where 25,000 plates were arranged. A total of 380,000 plates were kept at all the stalls. Arrangements for washing the plates were made there.

435,312 people partook of the meal, a record in itself. A team of 1,075 artisans, led by six halwais, contributed to the preparation of the food offerings. Meanwhile, 612 waiters were engaged in delivering the food offerings to the stalls.

In the food prasad prepared for lakhs of people, arrangements were made for 400 tins of desi ghee, 900 tins of refined oil, 600 tins of Dalda, 110 quintals of rice, 95 quintals of pulses, 290 quintals of flour, 120 quintals of sugar, 65 quintals of semolina, 130 quintals of paneer, 140 quintals of green peas, 650 cylinders.

The entire area became as clean as before in just a few hours: Dozens of stalls were set up on Mansarovar Road, Chandralok Cinema Road, Laxman Market Road for the celebration of the re-birth anniversary of Minister Nandi. Food was arranged where more than four and a half lakh people took the food prasad. On July 13, the day after the program was completed, a massive cleanliness drive was launched in the entire area and the entire area started looking clean and normal as before. Even after four and a half lakh people ate the food and thousands of people came and went, in just a few hours the entire area started looking clean and normal as before.
