Under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Campaign
Prayagraj: Prayagraj Cantonment Board organized a tree plantation drive in all its schools, under the nationwide “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (A Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign. On this occasion, Amit Kumar Mishra (IDES), Defence Estates Officer, Prayagraj Circle, Mr. Nagesh Kumar Pandey (IDES), Chief Executive Officer, Prayagraj Cantonment Board, and Mr. Vinod Kumar Valmiki, Nominated Member of the Cantonment Board, planted saplings in the school campuses.
The objective of the programme was to promote environmental conservation while conveying the message of honoring mothers through the planting of trees. The dignitaries encouraged students and teachers to plant more trees and ensure their proper care and maintenance, emphasizing the importance of preserving nature for future generations.
The programme was attended by Mr. Ashok Kumar, Sanitary Inspector, sanitation staff,School Coordinator Captain AK Sinha,all Principals/Headmistresses, teachers, and education staff of the Cantonment Board schools. All participants pledged to contribute actively towards environmental protection and the creation of a greener and more sustainable future.
