Prayagraj: Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir (MPVM), Prayagraj, hosted an enlightening and spiritually enriching interactive session by Siddhayogi Shriman Adinarayanan Ji, Co-founding Guru of the Anaadi Foundation, on the theme of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Yoga, Vedanta, and the Gurukul Mission. The programme beautifully reflected the institution’s commitment to holistic education and the harmonious integration of ancient Indian wisdom with modern learning. The session was attended by the Honorary Secretary Dr. Krishna Gupta, Treasurer Sri Ravindra Gupta, Mrs Rekha Baid, Me Nityanand Singh- Principal, Patanjali Rishikul, Mrs Vibha Srivastava, Principal Mrs. Alpona Dey, coordinators, teachers and enthusiastic students.

The guests were welcomed by Neeharika M. Guha. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by Siddhayogi Shriman AdinarayananJi and the guests. The sacred ceremony was accompanied by a melodious invocation presented by the school choir, creating an atmosphere of serenity, devotion, and reverence.

The highlight of the programme was Guruji’s inspiring address on Indian Knowledge Systems and the timeless relevance of the Gurukul tradition in contemporary education. He emphasized that true education is not merely the acquisition of information but the transformation of character and consciousness. He encouraged students to cultivate discipline, self-awareness, inner silence, and a spirit of inquiry while balancing scientific knowledge with spiritual wisdom. Guruji explained how ancient Indian knowledge traditions continue to offer practical solutions for modern challenges and called upon young minds to embrace their rich cultural heritage with pride.

Students and teachers listened with rapt attention as Guruji shared profound insights into Yoga, Vedanta, meditation, and the importance of living a life rooted in values. His thought-provoking discourse beautifully demonstrated that technological advancement and spiritual evolution can coexist harmoniously, inspiring everyone present to strive for excellence in both personal and professional life.

Swamiji, in his interaction with the students emphasised upon Indian Knowledge System, highlighting the intricate nuances and glorifying it over other knowledge systems of the world. He compared the Indian calendar system with the international Gregorian calendar and brought out the logical explanation behind the Indian astronomical, astrological and mathematical calculations and concepts of tithis. He taught the right way of breathing, the yogic way. Swamiji’s immense knowledge was imparted to the students in a very simple but specific manner. The children enjoyed an interactive session clarifying their doubts and queries which also clearly reflected their deep feelings and emotions that they had been bound by through the brief conversation that they had with swamiji.

As a mark of gratitude and respect, Sri Ravindra Gupta and Dr. Krishna Gupta presented Swamiji with a shawl and a planter. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of thanks delivered by Principal Mrs. Alpona Dey, who expressed sincere gratitude to Siddhayogi Shriman AdinarayananJi for his enlightening presence and invaluable guidance.

The session left an indelible impression on every participant. It served as a powerful reminder that education reaches its highest purpose when it nurtures both the intellect and the spirit, inspiring young minds to become compassionate, responsible, and enlightened citizens committed to the welfare of society and the nation.
