Prayagraj: City and District Congress Yamuna Par officials held a candlelight vigil and satyagraha to express solidarity with the students affected by the NEET paper leak. Led by City President Fuzail Hashmi, party officials gathered at the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Balsan Square in the evening and condemned the brutal attacks on students at Jantar Mantar by the ruthless Modi government’s police. They paid tribute to the more than 22 students who died in the lathi charge and suicide attacks. Congress members expressed their happiness and congratulated Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on his resignation under pressure from Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and the protests by students and youth across the country. They stated that this would bring about major changes in the education system. The enthusiastic Congress members declared that the time had come to remove the government that had relented too late. They also alleged that the Modi government and the RSS had taken over the education system and ruined it.
