Tent and Caterers Association announces insurance facility and relief fund for its members

Traders demanded amendments to Sarai Act and changes to other stringent rules

Prayagraj: The annual conference of Prayagraj Tent, Caterers and Event Association was held on Saturday at Laxmi Narayan Vatika on Lowther Road. Former Mayor of Prayagraj, Mrs. Abhilasha Gupta Nandi, attended it as the chief guest. In the annual conference, the members and officials of the association strongly raised their problems and demands and discussed the upliftment of the society. Owners of tent, caterers and event companies, who came from various districts and regions of the state, demanded changes in the Sarai Act as well as many other old rules and also demanded to provide facilities.

Speaking at the conference, former Mayor of Prayagraj, Mrs. Abhilasha Gupta Nandi, said that the members and officials of the Tent and Caterers Association, along with their business, also work to enhance and enhance people’s happiness. Therefore, administrative officials should take their problems seriously and resolve them. She said that some outdated rules, such as the Sarai Act, are troubling tent traders, caterers, and guest house operators today. Officials will be consulted to resolve these problems.

In the conference, information was given about providing insurance facility to tent traders and about the plan to provide assistance to needy members through relief fund. For which traders from different districts of the state were appealed to fill the registration form. The officials of the association demanded that a time limit should be fixed for the convenience of confectioners, caterers and event organisers in various events. Traders from cities like Lucknow, Meerut, Moradabad, Gonda, Bahraich, Noida, Varanasi, Kanpur etc. participated in the conference.

On this occasion, Patron Bhupendra Singh, Chairman Uttar Pradesh Pawan Talwar (Lucknow), President Uttar Pradesh Vijay Kumar, Special Advisor Mrs. Sangeeta Kapoor, District President Priyank Agarwal, General Secretary V.K. Sharma, Special Guest Shyam Singh, Senior Vice President Shakeel Ahmed, Dhirendra Kumar, State General Secretary Naveen Agarwal, Treasurer Pradeep Kesarwani, Kishan Kesarwani, Uday Shankar, Rahul Agarwal, Anoop Gupta, Satish Rao, Ghanshyam Chauhan, Rakesh Tiwari etc. were present.
