Prayagraj: Shiv Devi, wife of the late Ravindra Kumar Vishwakarma, resident of Deoria village, Sarai Inayat police station, Prayagraj district, stated that on June 21st, at around 8:00 a.m., she was returning from her black gram field. It is alleged that her brother-in-law, Vijay Sharma, and sister-in-law, Kiran Sharma, assaulted her. Immediately after the incident, she submitted a written application to Sarai Inayat police station, pleading for justice.

Taking cognizance of the application, Sarai Inayat police station called both the parties and the station head gave clear instructions that no party will do any kind of ploughing or sowing on the disputed land until the dispute is legally resolved.

Despite this, it is alleged that on July 23, 2026, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Kiran Sharma, disregarding police instructions, forcibly began plowing the disputed land. Upon receiving this information, advocate Ajay Vishwakarma immediately contacted the station in-charge, Praveen Gautam. Following the station in-charge’s instructions, Ajay Vishwakarma immediately informed the police station on 112. Upon receiving the information, PRV police arrived at the scene and intervened to stop the plowing, thus averting any untoward incident.

The timely action taken by Station House Officer Mr. Praveen Gautam and the Sarai Inayat police station is commendable. Their promptness, impartiality, and commitment to maintaining law and order maintained peace at the scene and prevented a potential conflict from escalating. The local public expects that in the future, impartial and effective action in accordance with the law will continue in such cases, so that no party dares to disobey court or police instructions, and respect for the law remains paramount.
