Prayagraj: Former President of India, great scientist and ‘Missile Man’ Bharat Ratna Dr. by District Congress Committee (Gangapar)The death anniversary of APJ Abdul Kalam was celebrated with great pomp and respect in Madhopur Bighiya. In a special program organized on this occasion, Congress officials and workers paid their humble tribute to Dr. Kalam by garlanding his portrait.

Presiding over the program, District Congress Committee (Gangapar) President Ashfaq Ahmed offered flowers on the portrait of Dr. Kalam and threw light on his inspiring life. He said that being born in a very normal and simple family, Dr. Kalam adorned the highest post of the country on the strength of his hard work, simplicity and unwavering patriotism. Thanks to the historic contributions made by him in the fields of science, defense and education, today India stands as a strong power on the global stage. His life will always be a source of inspiration for every citizen and youth of the country. The workers present in this tribute meeting pledged to follow the path shown by Dr. Kalam and his ideas.

Local intellectuals, villagers and a large number of Congress workers participated in the program and paid their respects to the Missile Man. The program was conducted by District General Secretary Sunil Pandey.
