Prayagraj: The most awaited event of the year, the Inaugural Edition of St. Mary’s Model United Nations (SMUN) 2026, a two day event commenced on Wednesday at St. Mary’s Convent Inter College, marking the significant milestone in the institution’s pursuit of academic excellence. This visionary initiative was undertaken under the dynamic leadership of the Principal, Rev. Sr. Lissy, whose commitment to providing holistic education transformed this ambitious endeavour into a reality. SMUN reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing responsible future leaders and emphasized the importance of diplomacy, leadership, and promoted deliberations over debate that urged for international cooperation in today’s world.
The opening ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Justice Vivek Kumar Singh who encouraged the students to promote dialogue and be the peace makers of the society. SMC welcomed six schools from the city, a platform provided to deliberate ideas with great enthusiasm.
The inaugural ceremony began with a solemn prayer service, attended by Reverend Sisters, distinguished guests, faculty members, secretariat, delegates, and students from various schools. The most coveted trophy ‘The Best Delegation Trophy’ of SMUN was unveiled by the honourable Chief Guest Justice Vivek Kumar Singh, the Manager, Reverend Sr. Sumita, the Principal Rev Sr.Lissy, and the Vice Principal, Rev.
