Prayagraj: Celebrations marked Ruby Jubilee and Guru Purnima at Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir as it celebrated its 40th Foundation Day. The school was established on the day of Guru Purnima in the year 1986. Commemorating the 40th Foundation Day, the entire event was beautifully organized and presented by the students.. The grand celebration began with a special morning assembly. The cultural program began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, accompanied by the melodious chanting of sacred Shlokas.
The school community paid a rich tribute to the visionary and Founder, late Sri Lokmanilal Ji. To this day his legacy of holistic education remains the guiding light for the institution.
The cultural segment of the day was a beautiful blend of talent, history, and gratitude. Principal, Mrs. Alpona Dey, welcomed the distinguished guests, which included: Honorary Secretary Dr. Krishna Gupta, Treasurer Mr. Ravindra Gupta, members of Maharshi Patanjali Group of Schools Mrs. Rekha Baid and Mr. Yashovardhan, Principals of sister schools: Mr. Nityanand Singh and Mrs. Vibha Srivastava, and other eminent guests. The program began with a dance fusion Guru Vandana. The English skit ‘The Illustrious Sages: A History of Forgotten Sages,’ successfully demonstrated how modern-day technology and science is connected to our ancient roots. A soulful rendition of ‘Mera Guru Dwar Na Chhute’ touched everyone’s hearts. A special performance, “Ek Chintan Jo Sakaar Hua” (Hindi skit), retraced the glorious 40-year journey of MPVM, showcasing the founder’s vision turning into a successful reality over four decades.
While Class 7 took charge of the main stage, students from Classes 1 to 6 and 8 to 12, expressed their gratitude through various creative classroom activities like drawing, sketching, poster making, card making, gratitude chain, extempore, PPT and various creative presentations.
The event became even more memorable by the blessings and words of inspiration from Ravindra Gupta sir and Dr. Krishna Gupta ma’am. At the end of the program, as a token of respect and green gratitude, all the esteemed guests were presented with beautiful plant pots. Additionally, a special tree plantation drive was carried out in the school campus by the Honorary Secretary, Dr. Krishna Gupta Ma’am, reinforcing the school’s commitment to a greener future.
