Prayagraj: Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir proudly organized its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27, marking the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council. The Senior officer from the Air Force, Wg Cdr Debartho Dhar graced the occasion as the chief guest of the occasion and his presence truly filled the students with inspiration and pride. The program commenced on an auspicious note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, invoking the blessings of the Almighty. This was followed by a melodious and inspiring song presentation “Chalo bade aage bade…” by the school choir, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and reverence.
The investiture ceremony began with the conferring of badges and sashes upon the newly elected Student Council members. The Principal invested the Head Boy Aman Singh & the Head Girl Bhavya Singh, Associate Head Boy Dhruv Raghuvanshi, and Associate Head Girl Shamita Singh, Activity Captains Suvya Verma and Yashi Singh with their badges and sashes, formally entrusting them with their responsibilities.
The Senior Sports Teacher, Mr. AK Singh, conferred badges and sashes upon the Sports Captains Vinayak Mishra & Luvleen Kaur and to the Associate Sports Captains. The House In-charges of the five houses pinned the badges to their respective House Captains and Vice-Captains with the belief that every House would continue to uphold its legacy with pride, discipline, teamwork, and excellence and the ceremony progressed to the investiture of students holding other positions of responsibility.
The Principal conferred badges and sashes to the students holding the post of Digital Dynamo Mahi Verma & Vertika Bhardwaj, the Head Prefects, Addwait Shailendra and Anvesha Sahu and the Associate Head Prefects, Gargi Mishra and Shubhang Srivastava.
The school Prefects were given the badges and sashes by Secondary Coordinator, Mrs Padmavati Pandey, Senior Secondary In-charge, Mrs Gopa Bhattacharya and Mrs Ashu Mehrotra. The Sub-Prefects were given the badges by Mrs Mrignayni Arya, Mrs Divya Srivastava, Mrs Rajyalaxmi Walia, Mrs Geetika Joshi and Mrs Saumya Dixit. The Junior Prefects were given badges and sashes by the Primary In-charge, Mrs Boisakhi Ghosh and the senior teacher Mrs Vinita Singh.
The new office bearers took a solemn Oath, administered by the Head girl of the School and pledged to uphold the school’s values and discharge their duties with honesty and integrity.
The Honorable Chief Guest Wg Cdr Debartho Dhar appreciate the school students for saluting with ‘Jai Hind”. He remarked that the day was not merely about receiving badges and sashes but about accepting responsibility with commitment and humility. He reminded the newly elected office bearers that the badge was not merely to lead but to serve and emphasized the importance of teamwork. He urged everyone to contribute wholeheartedly towards the progress of the school and make a positive difference. wherever they are.
The Principal, Mrs Alpona Dey congratulated the newly elected council members and encouraged them to lead with humility, discipline, vision, and compassion. She urged them to become role models for their peers and to strive for excellence in every sphere while bringing greater laurels to the school. The entire program was gracefully and confidently compared by Shamita Singh and Aman Singh. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
