Prayagraj: With the aim of encouraging the sporting talent of students from the Prayagraj district, a district-level secondary school shooting competition was successfully organized at Cantt High School, New Cantt, Prayagraj. Approximately 60 participants from various schools across the district enthusiastically took part in the event, showcasing their marksmanship skills. The Chief Guest for the event was Nagesh Kumar Pandey, Chief Executive Officer, Cantonment Board, Prayagraj. While inaugurating the competition, he encouraged the participants and remarked that sports foster discipline, concentration, self-confidence, and a spirit of healthy competition. He also motivated the students to excel in academics alongside sports. A total of 28 participants were selected across various categories to advance to the divisional-level competition.

Also present on the occasion were Md. Ansar (Principal, Cantt High School), V.D. Shukla (Principal, Viker Public School), Farid Siddiqui (Shooting Coach), Narmada Chauhan (Senior Teacher), and Sanjeev Kumar (Sports Teacher), along with other faculty members and distinguished guests.

The competition was conducted in an organized and fair manner. The participants displayed impressive talent while demonstrating excellent sportsmanship. In conclusion, the organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants, coaches, and guests, and pledged to continue encouraging students’ sporting talent through similar events in the future.
