Prayagraj: Congress leader Hasib Khan emerged as the key voice at a high-profile gathering held at Hotel Clarks Awadh, where prominent Muslim scholars, former IAS and IPS officers, doctors, engineers, and other distinguished members of civil society came together to deliberate on issues concerning the socio-economic progress of the Muslim community.
The event was attended by senior Congress leader and Uttar Pradesh In-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam, who participated as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, Hasib Khan reaffirmed the Congress party’s commitment to the welfare of Muslims and other marginalized communities. He stressed that education, employment, and effective implementation of government welfare schemes should remain at the center of efforts aimed at community upliftment.
“Education is the strongest foundation for empowerment, while employment provides dignity and economic security. It is equally important that every deserving family receives the benefits of government welfare schemes,” Khan said.
Reflecting on the party’s legacy, Hasib Khan stated that the Congress has consistently stood with Muslims, Dalits, and other disadvantaged sections of society. He urged party workers and community leaders to actively highlight the Congress party’s historical contributions to inclusive governance and social justice. Khan also pointed to the representation of Muslims in constitutional and political offices during previous Congress-led governments, noting that the country had Muslim Presidents, several states were led by Muslim Chief Ministers, and many Muslim leaders held key positions in the Union government.
Concluding his address, Hasib Khan shared the Congress party’s vision for inclusive development, emphasizing equal opportunities, educational advancement, employment generation, and stronger outreach to ensure that welfare initiatives reach every eligible citizen. The conclave concluded with discussions on strengthening community engagement and promoting policies aimed at inclusive growth and social harmony.
