MLA Deepak Patel inaugurated event by showing green flag and Mayor concluded it

Prayagraj: On the occasion of World Sight Day, a grand eye awareness rally was organised under the joint aegis of Lions Club Prayagraj Shakuntala and Lions Club Allahabad Anupam under Lions Club International in collaboration with ASJ Eye Hospital and Tamanna Hospital. Approximately 600 people enthusiastically participated in the rally, spreading the message of regular eye checkups, awareness about eye health, and vision protection. The rally was flagged off by chief guest, Phulpur MLA Deepak Patel. The rally traveled through various routes, reaching Subhash Square from Civil Lines Square, where the program concluded with Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani. On this occasion, the Mayor stated that only India possesses the ability to think positively through our eyes. India is the eye of the entire world, which seeks to move towards peace by learning from Indian culture and ancient traditions. Special guests included Councilor Arun Kumar Mishra, alias Pintu Ji, Raunak Gupta, Rakesh Tiwari, Dinesh Tiwari, former eye surgeon and former CMO Dr. N.K. Khare, along with officials and members.

Lion MJF Anjana Shukla, Vishal Khare, Himanshu Dwivedi, Dr. Sanjay Tiwari, Avneesh Kesarwani, Akhilesh Srivastava, Shweta Tiwari, Anil Kumar Shukla, Himanshu Gupta and other officials and members of the Lions Club actively participated in the program.

Vinod Mishra played a key role in making the program a success. The rally conveyed the message that to preserve eyesight, it is crucial to have regular eye exams, not ignore eye problems, and seek timely and appropriate treatment if necessary.

At the end of the program, Dr. Manas Tiwari expressed his gratitude to all the guests, Lions Club officials, members, partner organizations, and the approximately 600 participants, saying that it is our collective responsibility to spread eye awareness and to educate society about the prevention of blindness. The program’s objective was to spread the message of World Sight Day to the public and to make people aware and conscious of their eyes.
