Prayagraj: Veteran Pramod Kumar Shukla, District President of the Uttar Pradesh Ex-Servicemen Joint Organization, Prayagraj, said that his organization celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas with patriotism and enthusiasm at Shagun Vatika. The chief guest of the ceremony was Kargil War veteran Shri Govind Narayan Mishra. Special guests included State President Veteran Ajmer Bahadur Singh, State Patron Veteran R.K. Pandey, State General Secretary Veteran Krishna Prakash Singh Chauhan, and District Patron Veteran Roshanlal Vats, along with a large number of brave women and senior ex-servicemen.
Patriotic presentations like ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ and ‘Whether it is there or not, this country should remain’ presented by the children of Smt. Phoolpatti Devi School made the atmosphere emotional. On this occasion, Kargil War winners Kailash Nath Dubey, Suryamani Bharti, Sunil Sharma and R.K. Tripathi and the brave women of the martyrs, Smt. Sangeeta Yadav, Suman Sharma and Usha Vishwakarma were honoured by the chief guest, Veteran Govind Narayan Mishra, by presenting them mementoes and shawls. The state president said that this day is an opportunity to pay tribute to the valor and sacrifice of our brave soldiers. Fifteen new members joined the organization at the ceremony. The program concluded with a banquet.
